Frocktails is a cocktail party for people who enjoy making / sewing their own garments. It started approx. 10 years ago in Melbourne, Australia and has since been adopted in countries and cities around the world.
What happens on the night?
Attendees get a chance to mingle on arrival and enjoy a Prosecco and appetisers. This is then followed by a cat walk that willing attendees can participate in (non-mandatory) as well as a raffle of sponsored prizes. There will be a photographer to capture the night and all those fabulous handmade outfits and music for anyone who wishes to frock!

Frocktails is a community event for sewists to get together, make new friends and admire each other’s handmade outfits over a cocktail. It started approx. 10 years ago in Melbourne and has since been adopted in countries and cities around the world.
There is no theme. The idea is that you wear something you have made yourself. You can sew a new garment if you like, but it’s also a great opportunity to wear an older outfit that you feel deserves another outing. And despite the name, you don’t have to wear a dress. We want this to be an inclusive event, so wear what makes you happy!
We welcome sewists and makers of all abilities. You are welcome if you are new to sewing and not made any garments yet. Anyone can join in!
Absolutely! It is a great way to meet other people who love sewing as much as you, and a great conversation starter is ‘I love your outfit!’
Tickets
Early-Bird Tickets are €45 (plus ca. €3 booking fee). Limited availability.
Regular Tickets are €50 (plus ca. €3 booking fee).
All proceeds from ticket sales go towards the event.

There is no limit. You can buy as many tickets as you wish, availability permitting.
Note, tickets will be available for sale until the event capacity has been reached and all tickets are sold.
Tickets are strictly non-refundable. However, they are transferable.
If the event is cancelled (for some unforeseen reason) your tickets will be fully refunded.

The Victoria Hotel is perfectly located in Galway's city centre, only steps from Eyre Square and a few minutes walk from the train and coach stations as well as a taxi rank.
There is plenty paid on-street parking as well as a Q-park only minutes walk from the hotel.
