End of an Era
After seven incredible years, I’ve made the very difficult decision to close Fabric Romance — both the Galway store and the online business.
This was never “just a shop.” It was a dream, a leap of faith, and a huge part of me. Built from a spare bedroom in 2019, it’s been filled with long days, late nights, happy tears, self-doubt, immense pride, and the most beautiful community.
This decision has been incredibly hard, especially in the current retail climate, but I am so proud of what Fabric Romance became and so grateful to every single person who supported me — whether you shopped, shared, or simply cheered me on. Thank you from the bottom of my button jar 🤍
Saying goodbye is hard, but I’m grateful for the memories, the lessons, and the beautiful community that came from this journey. It’s a bittersweet moment, but I’m a firm believer that as one door closes, another opens. For now, I’m taking some time to rest, be with my family, and figure out what comes next.
And so, on Thursday, 30th April, my treasured little Liosban shop will close its doors for the last time. Depending on stock levels, the online shop will remain open throughout May.
In the meantime, please browse the CLEARANCE SALE on the website and in store.
I’ll also soon be looking to re-home some of the shop furniture and equipment. If you think you, or someone you know, might be interested, please send me a message (or pop into the shop), and I’ll let you know what’s available.

The Clearance Sale Fine Print:

The Clearance Sale will end on Thursday, 30th April in-store and run throughout May online, only while stock lasts.
- The discount will be applied automatically at checkout.
- We reserve the right to further adjust sale discounts throughout the closing down clearance period.
- Discounts cannot be combined or applied retroactively. Past orders and orders placed during the sale cannot be modified. Due to the potential high volume of orders, we cannot account for discrepancies in inventory after time of purchase, however, we will contact you if there are issues with your order.

Orders placed during the sale are not subject to our regular 1-3 business day shipping window. Please expect shipping delays of up to 2 weeks.
- Shipping to addresses outside of Ireland and Northern Ireland has been suspended.
- Digital PDF patterns and A0 pattern prints are excluded from the sale.
- The 'Add Matching Thread' option has been removed from the website as stock is running low. If you'd like us to add a matching thread, leave a note with your purchase and we'll add it to your order, if we can.
- We are no longer able to fulfill sample orders and have removed this option.
- If you have any store credit or a valid gift voucher, please make sure to use it before 31st May 2026. Gift vouchers can no longer be purchased.
