Our studio is based in Moycullen, just a few kilometres outside of Galway city at the beautiful west coast of Ireland and we ship worldwide.

The Fabric Romancer
My name is Stephanie (or Steph) and I am the woman behind Fabric Romance. Sewing has always played a role in my family as far back as my late grandmother, a professional seamstress in her days. I didn't unearth my passion for sewing until 2016 however when I inherited one of my grandmothers old sewing machines and I have been hooked ever since. I am a self taught sewist and, if you have made it to this site it is probably safe to assume we both share a passion for fabric.
While craft fabrics are plentiful in Ireland I feel there still is a real gap when it comes to the range and variety of quality garment fabrics. Particularly with a focus on sustainability - something that I feel strong about and try to incorporate more into other aspects of my personal life on a daily basis. So that is how Fabric Romance came about - starting with my own struggles to source fun, fresh and eco-friendly fabrics in Ireland to thinking "why not close the gap myself", to actually taking the step to opening my own independent shop thus making a wider selection of quality dressmaking fabrics available to you!
