WORKSHOP – Mastering Zips – 11th Oct 2025

Duration: 1pm to 3:30pm 

Required: Bring Your Own Sewing Machine 

Skill Level: Confident Beginner

In this 2.5 hour class you will take a deep dive into everything zips! If you've ever struggled to insert a zip, get a professional finish or want to brush up on your zip finishing techniques, this is the class for you. You'll learn the professional way to insert a variety of zips and the best finishing methods, leaving you ready to tackle any sewing project with a zip.

• How to sew a welt zippered pocket
• How to shorten zips

This is a practical class and you will complete each of the zip constructions! 

WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR:

This class is suitable for beginners who are confident using a sewing machine. 

COST INCLUDES:

• Tuition, tea, coffee and biscuits.
• Material and zips to practice on 
  
  

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: 

• A working sewing machine
  
• Zipper feet for your machine (if you have any)
• Polyester thread, thread snips, sewing pins, seam ripper/un-picker*

*Marked items are also available to purchase on the night.

A limited number of sewing machines are available to rent. Please get in touch to reserve one in advance.
